There is extended bidding. For instance, if the time ticks down to 1:59pm day of the sale, then the time will automatically extend for 5 minutes, with the new close time being 2:04pm, and so on, until all bidding is exhausted. The time will then tick down and the auction will close. This closely mimics a live auction, when the auctioneer receives all the bids, until all bidding is finished, then the he gives a last call, and if no one bids the auctioneer sells the property.
